What we learned from Dr. Dacey: Conducted a case study of a male with hyperparathyroidism Learned what considerations are made during pre-op, post-op, and recovery Learned what factors indicate a successful operative outcome Work-life balance can look different for different people If you are equally passionate about other fields, you should explore them before committing to surgery/medicine! GM 1: Surgeon Simulator Socia

What we did: Went over case study of patient who presented as hypertensive and has chest pain Learned about different methods of examining the heart, such as EKG, echocardiogram, and CT scan Analyzed patient EKG and found irregular heart patterns Played Surgeon Simulator and completed a heart transplant!
